ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Cyndie
BACKGROUND
Data Center Activist and Graphic Designer
Eight years ago, my husband and I bought a beautiful property in Fayette County - our "forever home". In 2024 we found out that a large substation was going to be built within view of our idyllic backyard in order to power the QTS data center six miles away. We felt we had no choice but to sell and move farther south in order to enjoy the rural lifestyle that drew us to Georgia.
Having previously fallen in love with the small town of LaGrange, we found a property on the lake and settled in. Within a few months 3 data centers were proposed for LaGrange.
THAT'S WHEN I STARTED FIGHTING
Since then, I have become a leader of Troup County Anti-Data Center Coalition. We work with affected citizens on community organization, host town halls for education, and guide opposition.
Additionally, we consult with counties and municipalities all over Georgia in order to enact moratoriums and create strong ordinances to protect citizens and their property, and to preserve rural character. Although I am running as a Democrat, I work daily with people of all races, religions, and political ideology in order to accomplish these goals.
Through my work, I have seen that the only way we will win this battle is by tackling the legislation that is enabling it.
In addition to the data center surge, I will also address housing and utility costs, property taxes, and rural healthcare. I will work to end the sales tax abatement for the tech bros and drive those incentives towards small businesses.
The people of Georgia deserve legislators who work for US - not for billionaires.
SEND ME TO THE STATE CAPITOL AND I WILL WORK FOR YOU!

CAMPAIGN MISSION
Protecting rural Georgia
while supporting
responsible development
I am committed to creating a future where equality meets opportunity. My campaign's mission is to empower communities, amplify voices, and drive meaningful policy changes that benefit ALL residents of West Georgia.
-
I will propose a 2 year moratorium on data centers while working to end their sales tax abatements, ensuring any that are built pay full utility rates as well as the full cost of their required infrastructure. Our small businesses deserve tax incentives- billionaire tech bros do NOT.
-
I will propose a statewide referendum to allow voters to decide on data center projects.
-
I will work to end the use of eminent domain for economic development projects.
-
I will impose a tax on corporate-owned housing to boost inventory and drive down home prices.
-
I will propose incentives to draw more doctors- especially OBGYNs- to Georgia.
-
I will fight for stewardship of your tax dollars, ensuring schools are funded without increasing property taxes.
