ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Cyndie
BACKGROUND
Data Center Activist and Graphic Designer
Growing up in Cincinnati, I had always wanted to move south, have land, and be near water. Eight years ago, my husband and I bought a beautiful property in Fayette County - our "forever home". In 2024 we found out that a large substation was going to possibly be built within view of our idyllic backyard in order to power the QTS data center six miles away. We felt we had no choice but to sell and move farther south in order to enjoy the rural lifestyle that drew us to Georgia.
Having previously fallen in love with the small town of LaGrange, we found a property on the lake and settled in. Within a few months data centers were being proposed for LaGrange.
THAT'S WHEN I STARTED FIGHTING
Since then, I have become a leader of Troup County Anti-Data Center Coalition. We work with affected citizens on community organization, host town halls for education, and guide opposition.

Additionally, we consult with counties and municipalities all over Georgia in order to enact moratoriums and create strong ordinances to protect citizens and their property, and to preserve rural character. Although I am running as a Democrat, I work daily with people of all races, religions, and political ideology in order to accomplish these goals.
Through my work, I have seen that the only way we will win this battle is by tackling the legislation that is enabling it.
In addition to the data center surge, I will also address housing and utility costs, property taxes, and rural healthcare, all while keeping an ear to the ground to listen to what YOU need from your legislators.
The people of Georgia deserve legislators who work for us - NOT for billionaires.
SEND ME TO THE STATE CAPITOL AND I WILL WORK FOR YOU!
